MobiCAM in short answers
| What is MobiCAM? | Design and production (CAD/CAM) software for furniture workshops. You draw kitchens, cabinets, wardrobes, bathroom units and TV units to size; the cut list, sheet nesting, CNC G-code, edge-banding list, part labels, technical drawings and the customer quote all come from the same drawing. It is desktop software developed in Erzincan, Türkiye. |
| Is it paid? How much does it cost? | We are in the pilot and billing has not started: nobody is charged and no card is asked for. Open an account and verify your e-mail, and you use it free for 60 days: one computer, every feature except the AI panel. The monthly subscriptions published for the paid period: Design ₺900, Manufacturing ₺2,500, High volume ₺4,000. |
| Which computers does it run on? | Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit), Macs with Apple silicon and 64-bit Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora). The same project file opens on all three. |
| Do I need an internet connection? | Not for drawing, the cut list, the G-code or the quote — all of that runs on your computer. The internet is only needed for licence checks and updates, and only now and then. |
| Does it make the cut list and optimise the sheets? | Yes. The cut list comes straight from the cabinets you draw, and the parts are laid out on the sheet with as little waste as possible (nesting); the edge-banding order and the part labels are prepared with them. Change a dimension and the list, the layout and the quote change together. |
| Can it send G-code to my CNC? | Yes. It writes machine-ready ISO G-code for holes, grooves and contours, one .nc file per sheet; the machine profile is chosen in the settings. Every part and every sheet also comes out as DXF. If you cut on a panel saw instead of a CNC, the layout is made with straight cuts. |
| Can I bring in drawings from other programs? | You bring in a room plan as DXF and ready-made 3D models as glTF. It does not open other programs' project files. It exports to DXF, glTF, OBJ and STEP. |
| Is it in Turkish? Is there support? | The program, the manual and support are in Turkish; the program and the manual are in English too. Write to info@mobicamsoft.com with any question. |
| What does the AI do? | From a sentence you type, such as "180cm wardrobe, 3 doors", it draws a cabinet draft that you then adjust. The pilot has no AI; in the Manufacturing and High volume plans it runs through MobiCAM's server. |
| How do I start? | Open an account on the portal and verify your e-mail, take the free licence, then download and install the program; installing takes ten minutes. For your first kitchen, the cabinet sizes guide helps. |
