MobiCAM is currently a pilot release. That means a small number of workshops are using it, and everything you write reaches a person directly — not a support queue. This page covers how to get the program, how updates arrive, what to send when reporting a problem, and the situations that come up most.

01What MobiCAM is
A short introduction — and where the program stands.
MobiCAM is a drawing and production program written for furniture workshops. You draw the kitchen, the wardrobe or the bathroom unit in three dimensions; from that drawing the program works out the cut list, the sheet layout, the file that goes to the CNC machine and the customer quote by itself.
There is one idea behind the design: there is a single drawing, and everything else derives from it. Change a cabinet's width and the cut list, the drilling program, the sheet layout and the figure on the quote all change at the same moment. You do not update them by hand. The consequence: the figure on the quote, the part that gets cut and the cabinet that gets fitted always agree.
It is developed in Türkiye and works to Turkish workshop standards: module widths, worktop height, the System-32 hole pattern and the VAT calculation are all set up the way they are done here. The interface is Turkish and English, and so is every output from the cut list to the quote.
The program is currently a pilot release: it is distributed free, no fee is taken for it, and its purpose is to be used in real workshops and gather feedback. That does not mean "half-finished" — the whole chain from drawing to CNC works. But something you report missing becomes the next job on the roadmap.
02Getting the program
The pilot is not a public download; it is handed over directly.
The pilot release is delivered directly to the workshops that will use it — we send you the installer. That way we know who is running which version and can tell you when a fix comes out. If you would like to try it, write to us from the contact section below.
Which operating systems

The warnings during installation are normal
The pilot release is unsigned. A code-signing certificate requires a registered legal entity, and the pilot deliberately is not waiting for one. The only consequence is that you see a warning the first time you install — it has nothing to do with the program itself:
- Windows: in the "Windows protected your PC" dialog, More info → Run anyway.
- macOS: if you got the file on a USB stick or by hand, no warning appears at all. If you downloaded it, one press of the Open Anyway button at the bottom of System Settings ▸ Privacy & Security is enough.
- Linux: there is no such gate, and no warning.

We do not have to send you an installer again.
The program updates itself. When a new release is published it asks you the next time you open the app; if you accept, it downloads and installs it. You can also check by hand from Settings ▸ About with Check for updates.
Every update that is downloaded goes through a signature check before it is installed. We produce the signature and the verifying key is embedded in the program, so a package that was altered in transit will not install. This signature is a separate thing from the operating system's code signing.
The list of published releases, and what changed in each, is here: the releases page. The version you are running is shown on the Settings ▸ About screen.
If you are on 0.1.0 or 0.1.1, update. 0.1.0 has no autosave — if the program closes unexpectedly, unsaved work is lost. 0.1.1 has no in-app updater, so it cannot pull later fixes on its own. From either, move to 0.3.0.
04Reporting a problem
If you know what to send, it gets solved in one exchange.
There is a button for this inside the program. Open Settings ▸ About and press Copy support info — the version, the operating system and the location of the log folder are copied to your clipboard. Pasting that into your message saves us asking you three separate questions.
Send us
- What you were trying to do and what happened — a sentence or two is enough. Something concrete like "three parts are missing from the cut list" gets solved far faster than "it doesn't work".
- A screenshot. At the moment the problem shows. On Windows Win+Shift+S, on a Mac ⌘+Shift+4.
- The support info — the text you copied with the button above.
- The project file if you have one (
.mcam). If the problem happens in one particular project, this is the fastest way for us to reproduce it exactly. Remember the file contains your customer details and your price list — if you would rather not send it, don't, and we will work from the screenshot. - The log file if the program crashed. Its location is in the support info you copied.
If the program closes unexpectedly, your work is not lost: it is autosaved every 15 seconds and when you reopen it asks whether to recover. Press Restore and get your work back first, then write to us.
05Common situations
Look here before writing — the answer is quite likely to be on this list.

| I can't delete a cabinet with Delete | Cabinets work that way on purpose, so you don't wipe out a whole unit by accident. You remove a cabinet with the delete button in the header of the Properties panel on the right. Delete removes cut-outs, openings, worktops and appliances in the 2D plan. |
| The 3D view opens black (Linux) | Happens on some NVIDIA and Wayland set-ups. Start the program with WEBKIT_DISABLE_DMABUF_RENDERER=1; if that does not fix it, add WEBKIT_DISABLE_COMPOSITING_MODE=1 and tell us. |

06File exchange — DXF, STEP and the rest
Which format is for what, and which screen it comes out of.
MobiCAM exchanges files with other programs. The table below says what each format is for; the detail is in the relevant chapters of the manual.

Autodesk's binary DWG format is not supported directly; the DXF that is supported is DWG's documented text counterpart. In practice it makes no difference: AutoCAD, ZWCAD, BricsCAD and the rest open and write DXF. When you ask an architect for a file, "send it as DXF" is all you need to say.

In a pilot release, the person you write to is the person who wrote the program.
MobiCAM is currently distributed as a free pilot release, and there is no registered company behind it yet. That is why no postal address is published on this page; everything, applications under data-protection law included, goes through the e-mail address above. When the company is registered, its trading name, tax details and postal address will be added here — we would rather say the gap is there than hide it.
If you include the five items from section 4 when you write, it is done in one exchange. Feedback, feature requests and anything of the "this would be better if…" kind go to the same address — that is exactly what the pilot release is for.
For requests about your personal data (access, correction, erasure) see the data-protection notice; applications go to this address too and are concluded within thirty days at the latest.
